Alice Malseed is a theatre-maker, writer and producer.
Alice’s writing and theatre-making has a social edge, commenting on the ‘now’ in our communities with fun, poetry, politics and provocation.
As producer she has taken projects to Dublin and Edinburgh Fringes and to studios and main stages for sell-out shows. She was producer at Tinderbox Theatre Company for almost three years.
Alice is based in Belfast in the North of Ireland. She has worked in London, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and across Ireland.
Alice is currently part of Six in the (Virtual) Attic with Irish Theatre Institute. In 2024, she was part of the ISPD Explore Design Mentorship and the PEN Freedom to Write Programme with the John Hewitt Society. She joined the Lyric New Playwright’s Programme and the BBC Writersroom in 2018.
Alice studied at Goldsmiths, gaining BA Drama and Theatre Arts, and MA Applied Drama (postgraduate scholarship). She is a member of Vault Artist Studios and the owner of a 12 year old whippet called Charlie.
